Makr Shakr, the leading company in robotic bartending systems, has unveiled Shaker, Italy’s first robotic bar, in Turin. The bar features a robotic bartender capable of serving a variety of drinks, ordered through an app. Developed in collaboration with Lavazza, this initiative brings innovation to Italy’s coffee scene, and with Martini & Rossi contributing to the cocktail offerings.

Shaker’s robotic arm, Toni Compatto, can craft over 60 beverages per hour, offering an extensive menu from classic cappuccinos to iced lattes to expertly mixed cocktails. Patrons can order via a tablet, track their drink's progress, and collect it at designated spots.

"In Italy, coffee is almost sacred," says Emanuele Rossetti, CEO at Makr Shakr. "Toni Compatto, supported by Lavazza’s premium La Reserva de ¡Tierra! Brazil Blend, is designed not just to make coffee but to perfect it, combining precision with excellence."

Shaker emphasizes human-robot synergy by having a bar manager add personalized garnishes to each drink. It also serves as a venue for cultural events, with its opening attended by notable figures such as former Italian Minister of Digital Transition Paola Pisano and Giulia Mattiazzo, vice-rector at the Politecnico di Torino.
