Makr Shakr triples its Robotic Bar and starts shaking cocktails aboard Ovation of the Seas, the 4,000-guest cruise ship by Royal Caribbean, soon to raise anchor and head towards China.
After its mechanical arms have served 141,790 cocktails all around the world, Makr Shakr is about to unveil the latest model of its Bionic Bar aboard Ovation of the Seas, the monumental new ship by Royal Caribbean International. The 4,000-guest ship will head out for an exclusive 52-night Asia tour arriving at its homeport in Tianjin, China and will bring the Makr Shakr twist to the Far East.
This is the start of an exciting spring for Makr Shakr. By mid May, the Bionic Bar will become the star of Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of The Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship, currently under construction at the STX yard in St. Nazaire, France.
“It is always incredible to see how people are captured by robots movements and how quickly they start enjoying the drink-making process”, says Alessandro Incisa, CTO at Makr Shakr. “We are excited to consolidate our partnership with Royal Caribbean, getting prepared for new adventures”, adds Saverio Panata, COO at Makr Shakr. “Makr Shakr is one the most extraordinary and appreciated features our fleet can offer”, says Naomi Hettema-Celaire, Manager of Beverage Operations at Royal Caribbean International.
Ovation of the Seas employs the world’s most advanced technologies, spanning 18 decks, and carrying 4,180 guests at double occupancy. After the inauguration in Euope, it will sail towards China to bring the Makr Shakr twist in the east!
